Having two doctor's appointments in one week can be a pain. Especially if you don't know what your expecting to hear from each of them, and it makes you so nervous you have anxiety attacks. Monday was the day I had been dreading..meeting the OB/GYN for the first time. But the man I chose to deliver our future baby was very comforting and had a great sense of humor. After some testing, we found out that I am pretty healthy, and still young to conceive a child. Great. But after 4 months why have not been able to? Well, after forgetting some things in my health history, turns out it's my thyroid. Having hypothyroidism can really put a damper on the baby making process, and if I were to get pregnant and my thyroid still be out of whack, it can cause major problems for the baby. That is where doctor #2 came in. After the ob was very adamant I go see my doctor for thyroid medication, I went. Luckily, I had made an appointment 2 weeks early to see my new doctor. Again, meeting a doctor for the first time can be stressful. But she was awesome.
After some blood tests to make sure I was healthy, we found a few problems. My thyroid level was pretty high, so I was put on meds. Next, my Vitamin D level was pretty low, so I was given medicine for that--I have to admit, taking that first pill really made me feel 100% better. I had more energy, and it has been a long time since I felt so good. And finally, last week was very stressful. They found my WBC to be high as well as my liver enzymes were elevated, so more testing had to be done to find out why. I didn't know what was wrong, but I am one of those types that just constantly dwell on what it could be, and its usually the worst..blah blah omg I am dying omg...yeah. That's me. Turns out it was just a random virus that will run it's course and I will be fine. I can tell already I am getting better.
So, that is all out of the way. With my back on my thyroid medicine, some Vitamin D supplements and some prenatal vitamins, apparently there should be no issue getting pregnant. Um yeah, I never thought it would be this hard. NEVER. ugh.
So patiently waiting. Trying very hard not to take HPT on a daily basis. I am already late, but still a negative. Doctor says to wait a week and try again. Due to my thyroid issue, things may go a little slower than others. So cross your fingers and wish us luck!

The time has FINALLY come!!!
Since other posts, this story turned out to FINALLY be a happy ending. One lesson my mom was always adamant about is "Good things come to those who wait." Well, now I can officially say my mom was right (high five mom). After Andy had suffered 2 heart attacks in 4 months, we made a swift decision to get married sooner rather than later. Good thing I had been somewhat planning since 2011, because at the end of March, we decided to get married on May 3rd, 2014. Smallest little wedding I personally had ever been to, but in my mind it was the most perfect wedding. That month was luckily not as stressful as I thought it would have been, because I had people by my side that helped me and most of my ideas were already in the mix.
So since we had a when, we obviously had to have a where. I wanted to do my parents house, since I had not planned on inviting a lot of people. Andy shot that down quick, so we decided to do a park. And of course, most of the parks that I wanted to spend the money on was already reserved for the day. So I went down to City Hall in our city and asked if the park across the street was available. And it was, and for thirty bucks, I could have it the whole day. Thanks, I'll take it. After that, was just little simple things, last minute ideas I had decided on. As far as food and cake, well those were a gift from our best friends/maid of honor and best man, who enjoys baking and cooking. At the end, we had a head count of 32 people, including the wedding party which was 4-that is including my self and my groom.
Everything was going really smooth-which was weird. The day before the wedding, I decided to take a road trip about and hour to my maid of honor's house and to stay there for the night. Here is me the day before at home before I left. It was so hard to believe that in 24 hours I would be getting married!
My last evening being single was nothing to write about. We didn't do anything crazy but eat pizza. But my fiance was called me around 4 pm that evening, and started freaking out on me. That is when I started to lose it. I was calling the best man to make sure he was going to be with Andy for the night to chill him out and he assured me he was, so that helped. Then about 4 hours later I called And to make sure he was okay. Well he said he had been sick for the last few hours, then I almost broke down, cause I thought it was it was his ulcer and I thought he would not show up...huh, guess I had the gitters too lol. He called me again about 1 in the morning to ask something stupid, but then I knew that the best man was there with him, and he seemed better. So I felt better.
Didn't sleep worth a wink after that though, hahaha. During my morning of getting pampered, I kept receiving assurance that Andy was fine, but then I kept hearing he looked rough from being sick all night. So, was very worried about him the whole morning. Then the time came. This girl, 33 years old was finally getting married.
When I got to the park and started walking down the aisle, all I kept thinking about was how Andy was feeling, I was so worried he was sick. But then I saw him, and the look on his face was not what I was expecting. I had never seen him so happy before. But a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is a couple of pics of him when he saw me:
I knew he would cry when he saw me. But had no idea he would cry while reading the vows and exchanging the rings. But everyone there could feel our love for each other. And what I have learned from this experience...it's not how much money you have, or how great a party it is. Its about love, that is what people should be there for too see a marriage; 2 families become one. I don't care that I didn't have a DJ, or that I didn't get my dress altered. I cared about the memory of seeing the love on that man's face as I walked toward him. And I cared about him seeing the bride of his dreams.
Now on to our next mission: Operation Baby B! That's right, but it is not gonna be easy, infertility is in my cards; so we are on quite a journey! A journey I wouldn't take with anyone else. I love you my husband, your are my rock, and my best friend.
